I began teaching grades 9-12 at Colonia High School at the beginning of March 2021. We utilized a hybrid schedule, so both of my Visual Art I classes were partially in person and partially virtual. I had the freedom to design and implement my own lesson plans for the duration of my time with these two classes, until I was switched over to teaching Honors Art History II and 3D Art. The teacher for these classes had all of her assignments scheduled and ready to go in Google Classroom, so my job was to simply teach her lessons and grade student work. This position was very fast-paced and kept me busy, and I'm happy that I had the chance to learn so much from Colonia and the students and faculty there.
Below are some lessons and student work from my Visual Art I classes.
