In Fall of 2019, I had the opportunity to spend 8 weeks lead-teaching a class as part of Penn State's Saturday Art School. In the weeks prior, my fellow student teachers and I budgeted material lists, planned lessons, and prepared for teaching a full unit to our individual classes. I worked with 1st and 2nd grade, and they were really a joy to teach. I learned so much from them, and we worked with color as a subject matter, exploring various materials and art-making processes.

At the end of the 8 weeks, an exhibition of student work was curated by the student teachers. Below are some images of my students' work and our exhibit in Tinkering: The Art of Exploration.
